Last night was one of those evenings that reminds us why community, nature and the turning of the Wheel mean so much to us.

We were truly honoured to be invited to bring our drums to the Solar Eclipse celebrations at Crewe Green Sunflowers. 

From the moment we arrived, there was such a wonderful atmosphere — joyful, welcoming and full of anticipation as we gathered together beneath the changing sky. The rhythm of the drums seemed to weave itself into the evening, connecting people together as we witnessed such a beautiful celestial moment.

One of the most magical parts for us was seeing the children coming over to try the spare drums we had brought along. Watching their faces light up as they found their own rhythm was absolutely wonderful. 

There was no judgement, no barriers — simply people coming together, sharing music, laughter and a little piece of magic. That sense of acceptance and community was truly beautiful to witness.

As Pagans, we often speak of our connection to the Earth, the seasons, the Sun, the Moon and the cycles of nature. Last night felt like a living expression of exactly that — people gathering together beneath the heavens, celebrating the mysteries of the sky while honouring the connections between us here on Earth. 

And as if the evening hadn't already been magical enough, once the eclipse had passed, we were honoured to be asked to perform a blessing for a family's beautiful Wind Phone, created in memory of their beloved Mum. 

To stand together amongst the sunflowers, surrounded by love, remembrance and the gentle presence of nature, and to offer a blessing for this very special place was an incredibly moving privilege for us.

The Wind Phone is a beautiful reminder that love does not simply disappear when someone passes from this world. The conversations continue. The memories continue. The connection continues. 

Then, as we prepared to leave, the Sun gave us one final gift — a beautiful sunset spreading across the evening sky. 

From drums and dancing, to eclipse and sunset, to blessing and remembrance, it felt like the whole evening carried its own rhythm — a gentle reminder of the eternal dance between light and shadow, life and death, Earth and Sky, and all that connects us.

May the rhythms we share continue to bring people together, may the Sun guide us, may the Moon watch over us, and may the turning of the Wheel always remind us that we are part of something far greater than ourselves.
